Founded by Dr. Thanos Fasoulas and Dr. Rizos Tzourmanas, The Apex Club was created from a shared vision: to elevate the standard of endodontic microsurgery through structured, evidence-based, and clinically relevant education. Both founders are specialists in Endodontics and Endodontic Microsurgery, with advanced postgraduate training and years of exclusive clinical focus on complex surgical cases. Having trained and practiced internationally, they combine diverse clinical perspectives with a common philosophy centered on precision, biological respect, and predictable outcomes.
Their daily clinical work is dedicated to advanced microsurgical procedures, with particular emphasis on soft-tissue management, flap design, microsuturing, and regenerative techniques. As active members of leading international endodontic societies and frequent lecturers worldwide, they bring a strong academic mindset to their teaching while remaining firmly connected to everyday clinical reality. Thanos Fasoulas:
Dr. Thanos Fasoulas is a specialist in Endodontics and Endodontic Microsurgery.
He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and relocated to the Netherlands in 2016. He subsequently completed a three-year Master of Science in Endodontics at Ghent University, Belgium.
He is currently based in private practice in Amsterdam, where his clinical work is dedicated to advanced endodontic care with a strong focus on endodontic microsurgery and soft-tissue management.
Dr. Fasoulas is an active member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and regularly lectures internationally on contemporary surgical protocols.
Dr. Rizos Tzourmanas is a specialist in Endodontics and Endodontic Microsurgery.
He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece) and relocated to the Netherlands in 2016 before pursuing postgraduate education in Belgium. He completed a three-year Master of Science in Endodontics at Ghent University.
He has since limited his clinical practice exclusively to endodontics in private practice in Ghent, Belgium, with a primary focus on endodontic microsurgery and soft-tissue management.
Dr. Tzourmanas is an active member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and teaches courses internationally.
